the principal deed componants are SURVEYs NUMBER 54 and 55 of Swamp and Overflowed Land which i think were done in our around 1869. both surveys are anchored on Southwest corner of Section 32, Township 4 North Range 6 West, Mount Diablo Meridian.  survey 54 is on the north and suvey 55 is just south of it and adjacent.

i believe this to be around  38.142126° -122.559687°
in EPSG 2872 (spcs nad83 harn zone3) i was using this as a 5969195.873;2244762.500
but these values are just to get us in the ball park

 upon reviewing the bearings described in the deed i determined that they must be true north. quickly plotting the lines against epsg2872 shows them close to lining up. if they were 13 to 16 degrees off of north then we would see it, instead applying the convergence values of 1.261025 made a number of lines line up exactly with existing fence lines which we can assume were placed based on prior survey work.
