Incidental detections of California Gnatcatcher during vireo monitoring as an aid in future trap location needs.
These data identify locations of California Gnatcatcher (Polioptila californica) detected in the field by SAWA biologists during Least Bells Vireo monitoring within the Santa Ana Watershed located in Southern California. The watershed is located within San Bernardino, Riverside, and Orange counties. Several large flocks were observed throughout the SAR Upstream habitat. A few cowbirds were observed in Norco Bluffs and other areas. A vireo feeding a cowbird fledgling was observed near Rancho Jurupa Park.
