H.E.R.P. The North American Herpetological Education and Research Project (HERP) database is a repository of sightings and information on North American herpetofauna contributed by amateur citizen scientists and professional herpetologists. The goal of the project is to provide valuable datasets to concerned parties of North American herpetofauna. The Data Contained within HERP, is moderated and presumed to be correct. Data is to be used at the users own risk as there may be inaccuracies, errors, omissions, and other unknown flaws within this dataset. Users of the data our encouraged to contact H.E.R.P. or the contributor if there is any questions or verifications needed about the data. Data contained within HERP is vouchered with a photo voucher which can be viewed at www.naherp.com or downloaded directly.
The goal of the project is to provide valuable datasets to concerned parties of North American herpetofauna. These sightings are collected and moderated with the goal of disseminating observational herpetological data to appropriate scientific, academic, governmental, regulatory, research agencies and other approved projects.
