Summary

SENSITIVE DATA - DO NOT DISTRIBUTE. The Wildlife Sites (WildlifeSites) feature class provides easily accessible and commonly used features and attributes essential to Forest Service business. *****This data is clipped to a 1 mile buffer of the California State border.******

Description

The Wildlife Sites (WildlifeSites) polygon feature class represents terrestrial wildlife sites and the most recent visits to those sites. It combines the attributes of the point and polygon site layers from the NRIS (Natural Resource Information Systems) Wildlife application into a single polygon geodatabase feature class. Point features were converted to polygons by applying a 10 meter buffer; they were then combined with the polygon layer into a single published feature class. Only sites that have passed the quality checking in the NRIS Wildlife application are published into this feature class.
