The purpose of this dataset is to answer questions about sage grouse movement and habitat use in Mono County. Additionally, correlates to survival and reproductive success may be determined from telemetry data.
Combined telemetry locations for sage grouse in Mono County which were fitted with radio-transmitters for the USGS Greater sage-grouse project. Contains spatial and temporal information as well as topography, estimated habitat types, elevation, slope, etc. Dataset is complete for all birds from January 2003 to November 2005. Accuracy of individual data fields currently being verified, spatial and temporal accuracy has however, been verified.

Positional accuracy of individual locations is limited by: accuracy of satellite GPS locations, uncertainty in telemetry locations (observer error), and possible data entry errors. Although, all reasonable attempts have been made to limit these factors, positional accuracy for any individual point should not necessarily be considered minimal. The appropriateness of multiple scales of inference is the end-users responsibility to justify and the originators assume no responsibility for incorrect or misleading uses of this data.
