Summary

This dataset represents a structural connectivity analysis for the West Mojave that includes climate-wise considerations, assumptions on movement behaviour relevant to small species, and modeled connectivity for two focal species (Mojave ground squirrel and desert tortoise). We combined these using the open source logic modeling framework called environmental evaluation modeling system (EEMS) (Sheehan and Gough 2016) which now integrates with Data Basin and an online viewer https://eemsonline.org/.

Description

This is the Structural Connectivity Cores for the Small Species and Climate-wise Typology, Western Mojave as described in Gallo, JA, J. Strittholt, G. Joseph, H. Rustigian-Romsos, R. Degagne, J. Brice, and A. Prisbrey. 2019. Mapping Habitat Connectivity Priority Areas that are Climate-wise and Multi-scale, for Three Regions of California. Conservation Biology Institute. March. https://doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.7477532.v6 .
